I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
